This orchestration features the brass section in a chorale setting, a dixieland clarinet solo (written out), plenty of pizzicato and a driving robust ending.

The Motown Hits Heatwave (Key of F, Martha and the Vandellas) and You Can't Hurry Love (Key of Eb, The Supremes) were covered by Phil Collins, and provide a very nice  orchestral cover for your symphony. This haunting ballad from the Broadway play Les Miserables was originally sung by the female character Fantine. We have had numerous requests for an orchestration with a Tenor as the feature.

This is a vocal feature from the  Grammy Award winning album from Ray Charles “Genius Loves Company.” It is a great way to feature a male singer from your community. Before  Ray Charles' untimely passing, he called Victor and asked him to do an  arrangement of "It Was A Very Good Year". A previous discussion with Ray  many years before, revealed that Ray did not want to do any of Mr. Sinatra's material, because as Ray put it "once Frank records a song it really becomes his".

Victor then asked Ray what kind of arrangement he wanted and Ray replied with:

"Well  Vic, something that does not sound like the original and perhaps a lot of musical interplay with my phrasing of the tune. Use a lot of  woodwinds like on our symphony dates."

Ray and I took the liberty of changing some of the lyrics in the last verse more in keeping with the kind of life Ray led.

Saturday Night at the Pops, featuring the music of the Bee Gees, is scored for Symphony Orchestra and rhythm utilizing the driving disco  beat of the era. The blockbuster Saturday Night at the Pops Album has gone platinum fifteen times. It became the number one best selling soundtrack of all time. The album was the best-selling in history until 1984, when Michael Jackson's Thriller (also in our library) replaced it. These jazz classics were the centerpiece of a concert celebrating the 60th anniversaryof the Berklee College of Music who commissioned the work. Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo known as Spain (Chick Corea) in jazz circles is "mashed up" with the jazz vocal classic Birdland (Joe Zawinul). Your jazz fans will appreciate this arrangement.

The Iconic song Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, is presented here in a manner that can be used several ways. First of all you can use it as a straight orchestra feature, or you can have a soloist sing it, or you can add a choir for the chorus to the soloist. In reality with a twinkle in your eye just ask the audience to sing along and you will have everyone in the hall singing at the top of their lungs. A composition written by Carole Bayer Sager and David Foster has been recorded by Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Josh Groban. This song speaks to Unity, Peace, Safety and Love; written in English and Italian, and is appropriate for any holiday. The Vanacore orchestration is in the key of Bb (C4 - Bb6) and is written for Tenor solo (optional Soprano), Tenor with SATB or Tenor alone. WW's are written to play the musical answers "if no choir" and also replace the acoustic guitar on the recording provided. 
The key of Bb major is retained throughout.
