Aaron Copland meets Buster Poindexter. The ever-popular Fanfare for the Common Man starts off as a Salsa complete with Clave and enormous percussion accents. We finally hear  Buster Poindexter’s Hot! Hot! Hot!. There are optional lyrics cued in many of the orchestra parts for that party atmosphere.

No favorite Mexican melody is left out in this clever and whimsical arrangement. The music is so descriptive that the listener can’t help but be transported to the plaza in a small Pueblo. And, of course, included is audience participation.

A musical visit to Havana: inspired by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona’s most famous theme, is developed into a romantic and passionate tone poem by Mr. Vanacore. This arrangement features trumpet or guitar.

Carlos Santana meets the symphony. His guitar riffs are heard in the low strings and woodwinds as this cha cha unfolds and eventually segues to Perez Prado’s still popular Patricia. A real Cha Cha to dance to.

This popular American standard is written as a Meringue but can also be interpreted as a Samba or even played with a Disco beat. It features an energetic “breakdown” where the piano plays a written out montuno followed by different orchestral entrances by sections mashed up with other popular Latin melodies.

This masterful arrangement juxtaposes the classic samba Brazil, with the George Gershwin classic, Rhapsody In Blue. The arrangement features piano and includes the original piano part to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. There is an improvisation section in the arrangement that can be improvised by your pianist; alternatively, the chord changes can be found cued in the trumpet, trombone, and saxophone parts. The saxophones are, of course, optional. A real toe tapper!

These jazz classics were the centerpiece of a concert celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Berklee College of Music who commissioned the work. Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo known as Spain (Chick Corea) in jazz circles is "mashed up" with the jazz vocal classic Birdland (Joe Zawinul). Your jazz fans will appreciate this arrangement.

Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine brought the rhythms of Latin music into the pop music culture. Songs of the Miami Sound Machine included in this medley are 1-2-3, Words Get in the Way, Anything For You, Conga.

This is a great feature for your percussion section; a fusion of Cubano and pop styles. This is feel good music at its best.

This is a beautiful Victor Vanacore orchestration of the Tango in D Major by Isaac Albeniz, in which the bandoneon and guitar are emulated to capture the true classic sense of this composition. Highly cinematic in its approach, one can’t help but imagine being in the heart of Buenos Aires.

A true show stopper. This medley includes Bambolero (Caballo Viejo) by the Gypsy Kings. Clever segues take us through Perez Prado hits, such as Mambo #5, Mambo Jambo and  Que Rico el Mambo, finalizing the medley with a re-orchestration of the Bernstein Mambo from West Side Story (also available as a separate rental at $200/$135. Duration 2:20).

This arrangement is laden with percussion and drum set. There are montuno parts that can be opened up for solos;also, if you are so  inclined, the orchestra has optional lyrics written in for that real 1950’s sound (men only).
