Albert Hay Mallote's Lords Prayer was composed in 1935 and published by the G. Shirmer Co.
 When I heard the Bocelli version with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I was immediately impressed by the simplicity of the orchestration and the subtleness of the Choir. This orchestration was a lot of fun for me to transcribe and to add some additional instruments and ideas.

This song speaks to Unity, Peace, Safety and Love; written in English and Italian, and is appropriate for any holiday. The Vanacore orchestration is in the key of Bb (C4 - Bb6) and is written for Tenor solo (optional Soprano), Tenor with SATB or Tenor alone. WW's are written to play the musical answers "if no choir" and also replace the acoustic guitar on the recording provided. 
The key of Bb major is retained throughout.

This Johnny Mathis favorite was recently covered by the vocal group Il Divo. Composed by Ciro Dammicco (a.k.a. Zacar) was originally known as Soleado. Vanacore has crafted this Tenor vocal  feature utilizing the symphony and choir as a "rock power ballad" complete with solo cello and piccolo. The Celtic style opening and bridge  leads to a an inspirational setting for this festive time of year.
